Coronavirus in Cuba: 38 brand-new contagions and two deaths today

In the last 24 hours, the SARS-CoV-2 virus has left 2 brand-new deaths in Cuba, according to the report published by the Ministry of Public Health’s report, which likewise includes 38 brand-new contagions from four provinces.
The deaths on this day correspond to 2 of these areas, with whom the number of fatalities on the island amounts to 127: a 64- year-old male, citizen in the main municipality of Sancti Spíritus; and an 84- year-old female from Pinar del Río, citizen in San Luis.

All the new contagions correspond to Cubans: 37 were autochthonous cases and one is an imported case, which is described the statistics of the municipality of Viñales, where the person lives.
32 were contacts of validated cases and in 5 individuals the source of infection is not defined. The circulation by sex has actually been rather well balanced (18 female-20 male).
The geographical circulation is as follows: Sancti Spíritus, with 17 cases, in 4 municipalities; Pinar del Río, 10 cases in 5 municipalities; Ciego de Ávila, 7 cases in the provincial capital; and Havana, 4 cases in four towns.
At midnight yesterday, 2,639 individuals were still hospitalized, while eight stayed in intensive care.
Yesterday, 6,508 samples were processed searching for the illness.
